Reading

I was given this book by a friend on my recent trip to India. It is a collection of essays reflecting on India's past and present in context of its future in the 21st century. I have only read about 50 pages so far and it has been an eye opener and spellbinding. A must read for anyone who wants to understand India as a country and as a burgeoning world player.

Reading..

Just finished reading this. I have to say that although the book is great, I preferred The Kite Runner, which was much more fresh. However, maybe the fact that this book is written from a completely female perspective prevented me from identifying well with the characters and their journey.

Having said that, it is a fascinating book and I read it in one afternoon - being unwell and stuck in bed helped ! I am really looking forward to the movie adaptation of The Kite Runner.

Reading

Got quite a few books over the holiday period and bought a couple more last week:

Rather worryingly a lot of Clarkson's views appeal to me.
